About Us

Reboot Charity is a

recognized 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization based in the United States. We use donations to help self-funded volunteers do more.

What We Love To Do

Since 2012, our charity has been supporting community volunteers. Without external help, many would have to drastically limit their availability . We give these heroes wings to fly.

Recent years have seen an exponential growth in the impact of natural disasters worldwide. Thus in 2016, Reboot Charity made it a primary objective to help those working in disaster relief and reconstruction. We do so by providing transportation, training, and supplies.

Our charity is funded by private and corporate donations, grants, and the investment of assets on hand.

Reboot’s Board of Directors are also volunteers, donating their personal time and resources.

Our Story

Over the Years

From the beginning, our charity has had the vision of helping volunteers – real-life superheroes that are quietly helping in the communities around the world. We have taken their input and evolved to support causes and missions that have meaning and practical benefit in support of work that really matters and produces results.

Keeping E-Waste Out of Landfills

Reboot collected, recycled, repaired and resold or repurposed business electronics, realizing multiple benefits – to volunteers, as well as the environment:

  • Underutilized, refurbished electronics were diverted from the waste stream.
  • Cellphones, tablets, laptop computers and other devices were provided to volunteers to support their work.
  • Resale of other donated or recycled e-waste items generated funding for Reboot operations.
  • Resale operations provided flexible job opportunities for self-funded volunteers who support themselves with part-time work.

Buying & Reselling Used Electronics

Targeted donated electronic items, such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops were collected with the purpose to resell or give to volunteers. The work of collecting, recycling, repurposing, repair, and resell helped us to accomplish the same points as above, but to a fuller degree.

Natural Disaster Relief Support

Reboot Charity sees a growing need: In the last 140 years there have been 35 category 5 hurricanes, 5 of them have occurred in the last 3 years. After Hurricane Matthew in 2016, we provided disaster relief first responders with transportation support when commercial air and sea access were cut off. Since that event, we have expanded to provide training, logistical and material support following disasters in the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Turks & Caicos, St. Martin, Tortola, St. Croix, the Florida Keys, and Georgia.
